Mediacontech, a public company listed at the Milan Stock Exchange is the leading Italian independent provider of production and post-production services, management and distribution of contents to media, service and manufacturing companies. The group offers global solutions in the world of communication, through the business units “Broadcast & Digital Media” and “Advertising & Entertainment”, by integrating contents and technologies in the field of television, information technology and telecommunication. Mediacontech is today an international player with subsidiaries in Milan, Rome, Turin, Pordenone, London, Barcelona, Madrid and Paris. In 2009, Mediacontech reported revenues of €123 m. In 2004, BS Investimenti IV organized, together with BS Private Equity, the management buy-in of Mediacontech acquiring a 41% stake from the Rocchietti brothers, the company's founders, which retained a minority stake. Following such acquisition, BS Investimenti IV and BS Private Equity increased their stake in Mediacontech above 70% through a shares' purchase on the market. The strategy is to foster the company's growth, including the acquisition of competitors. In 2006, Mediacontech acquired 2006 Mikros Image, a leading player of the advertising post production market in France and Videe, an Italian niche player in the mobile-trucks production market. In 2007 it acquired Volume, an Italian company active in the realization of lighting and audio services. The external growth strategy continued in 2008 with the acquisition of Delta Tre, a European IT and media services provider for the sports and entertainment industry. BS Private Equity and IPEF II had previously acquired a minority stake in the company in 1997 which was progressively sold starting from 2000, following the IPO of the company.
