Giovanni Bozzetto, set up in 1919 and located close to Bergamo, is active in the production of chemical additives for the textile, construction and detergent industries. The company has a significant presence in these three sectors in Europe, and has production facilities in Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Poland, China and Indonesia. The company reported 2009 revenues of €90 m, 80% of which abroad. It employs 400 people. In 2004, BS Private Equity structured a management buy-out, acquiring 100% of the shares of the company from the German multinational chemical company Rütgers. BS Private Equity and BS Investimenti IV control 65% of the share capital of the company, while the rest is owned by the Bozzetto family and management. The investment objective is to support the company's growth in Eastern Europe and the Far Eastand to strengthen its leading presence in the European market.
