Tecnowind is the second largest independent manufacturer of cooker hoods in Europe and offers a complete range of products, from basic to high-end designer hoods. The company is also a leading manufacturer of electric hobs. Tecnowind recorded total revenues of €62m in 2009, over 90% of which outside of Italy. The company has five production sites located in Fabriano (Ancona), and two plants in China and Romania. Tecnowind's strategy is centered on revenue growth, through commercial expansion, and on profitability improvement, mainly by delocalizing production to low-cost countries. In 2006, BS Investimenti IV and BS Private Equity arranged the management buy-in of Tecnowind, acquiring control of the company from a private investors. The investment rationale is to facilitate the company's long term growth by supporting its commercial and industrial expansion.
