Tinet is a global provider of wholesale Internet connectivity services to telecom and media customers. The company has a global presence, with a special focus on Western Europe and North America, through a network of 80 points of presence (“POPs”).  Founded in 2002, Tinet has grown rapidly, achieving in 2009 revenues of €42m and a high level of profitability. Tinet’s strategy is to focus on continuing its commercial expansion, maintaining at the same time a high level of profitability and cash generation. BS Investimenti IV and BS Private Equity, together with management, arranged the management buy-out of Tinet in 2009, buying control of the group from Tiscali SpA.
